Octavo (7.25 x 5.25 inches; 184 x 133 mm.). 209, [1], [2, blank] pages. Publisher's bluish-green cloth, spine and front board lettered in black and stamped in brownish-orange, Main Line Mysteries device stamped in black on the spine; top and bottom edges of the text block trimmed, fore-edge untrimmed; light green endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $2.00. Spine just barely askew; front joint darkened; spine ends and corners a trifle rubbed; turn-ins of the rear board very mildly dust-soiled. Top edge of the text block a little dusty; rear free endpaper just a little soiled with two narrow bruises, each about an inch long; just occasional marginal soiling or staining throughout the text. Dust jacket spine panel very faintly faded; rear panel and front flap folds softly creased; only trivial edgewear. A very good copy in a near fine dust jacket. Short story anthology featuring "Rear Window," the source for Alfred Hitchcock's immortal 1954 film of the same name starring James Stewart, Grace Kelly and Raymond Burr. Queen's Quorum 97 ("one of the most dynamic talents in contemporary crime writing"). From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
