Contemporary tree sheep. Smooth spine stained black and divided into six compartments with decorative gilt bands with a central floral ornament in each "compartment." Board edges decoratively tooled in gilt. Hinges cracked; over-opened in a few places. Front pastedown with early ink signature: Miss Treves; additional ink signature of Mrs. Marriott / 18th May 1811.
