    Large folio (13 3/4 x 9 7/8 inchew; 349 x 252 mm.). Manuscript list of contents on front free endpaper. Contemporary half black roan, decoratively tooled in blind, over marbled boards. Black roan label on front cover decorative tooled and lettered in gilt: W. M. Leir (William Marriott Leir, 1805-1891), with his pencil signature at head of title of several scores: W Marriott Leir / Wadh[am] Coll. Smooth spine divided into six compartments by double rules, lettered in gilt in one compartment: Piano Forte, and tooled in gilt in the remaining with a lyre. Binding quite rubbed and worn; front joint starting; corners bumped; some loss of marbled paper at corners and board edges. Title creased in several places, with a tiny hole in the gutter, and a few chips at the tired edges; slightly browned, with some light foxing. From the library of John Carroll Collins.
