    The book was the first publication of the mass of the Armenian Church, transcribed in European musical notation for four-part mixed choir by Italian composer Pietro Bianchini. The transcription was made in both Armenian characters and a phonetic transliteration. The edition of the book was dedicated to Margherita of Savoy, heir princess of Italy, who would become queen consort from 1878-1900.
