[Manuscript Antiphonal Choir Book] Antiphonaire, a lusage des religieuses de notre dame de misericorde. Aix, 1759. Folio (11 ½ x 7 ¾ inches; 291 x 450 mm). Tan leather binding with six bands on spine; rubbed and stained, some losses, head and tail of spine pushed with losses, other wear and staining. Edges stained red, bottom edge quite faded. Title in red and blank ink in manuscript, with two woodcuts supplied and pasted to title. 149 pages with eight lines of text (including titles) and seven lines of music on four-line staves with square notes. With some partially filled-in pages at back, some blank. Some decorated initials. Internally generally clean with intermittent foxing and spotting, a few instances of ink oxidation and minor holes. Repairs to some leaves toward rear of text block in lower margin, some affecting text and staves, some minor worming. Some dampstaining to rear pastedown. Still, overall a very good example of a manuscript antiphonal choir book.
