    Description

Mickey Spillane. Original Typescript for I, the Jury. [New York: August 28, 1946]. Compositor's copy, hand-corrected throughout by Spillane, with marginal notes in other hands. Loose quarto sheets (8.5 x 11 inches). Complete with 195 leaves, five leaves of preliminaries and 190 comprising the text. Printed rectos only. Textual leaves three-hole punched at a later date, with adhesive paper hole reinforcements; preliminaries with old paper clipping and diagramed onion skin paper inserted. Page edges worn, particularly on the preliminaries, with occasional minor paper loss to margins; faint marginal discoloration throughout; several leaves soiled, as expected. Very good. Mickey Spillane's debut novel, and the world's introduction to detective Mike Hammer. Source for the 1953 3-D film noir by Harry Essex. A significant artifact from the hard-boiled canon. From the Estate of Mickey Spillane.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
