    First edition. Signed by the author in blue felt tip pen on the title page and also by A.I. Bezzerides, who wrote the screenplay for Robert Aldrich's big screen adaptation starring Ralph Meeker as Mike Hammer--a film which Robert Weston called "arguably the greatest example of American noir cinema." Twelvemo. 251 pages.

     

    Original terra cotta cloth with titles stamped in silver on the spine. Spine ever-so-slightly faded and worn else externally nice. Contents tight and the book is in overall near fine condition in a bright facsimile dust jacket.
