Publisher's black paper-covered boards, spine and front board lettered in red, in original dust jacket. Some light soiling to the backstrip, the 'Du' in 'Dutton' faintly faded at the foot of the spine. Faint foxing to endpapers. Dust jacket spine panel and about one-third of the rear panel stained, with tidemark and light purplish discoloration; rear joint fold split with tape on verso; spine ends chipped; spine panel dulled; edges worn. A near fine copy in a good dust jacket. The first Mike Hammer mystery. Basis for the 1953 3D noir.

[Together with:] Vengeance Is Mine. New York: E. P. Dutton & Company, 1950. First edition. [And:] Kiss Me Deadly. New York: E. P. Dutton & Company, 1952. First edition. Together, two octavo volumes. Publisher's uniformly designed bindings in original dust jackets. Spines gently leaning (Kiss Me Deadly slightly more so); board edges lightly worn. Faint discoloration to endpapers. Dust jacket edges somewhat worn; light flaking to folds; some trace rubbing or soiling. Very good. The third and sixth Mike Hammer mysteries. Kiss Me Deadly is the source for Spillane's best-remembered film adaptation with Robert Aldrich's 1955 fever dream starring Ralph Meeker. From the KoKo Collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
