Inscribed by Houdini on the front free endpaper: "Best wishes/Harry Houdini/March 20/1917". Octavo. [viii], 333, [1, blank], xvi, [110], [2, ads] pages. Illustrated. Publisher's full brown cloth, front cover and spine decoratively stamped in black and gilt and lettered in gilt. Spine dull, binding worn, rear cover soiled, three leaves apparently missing between Unmasking of Robert-Houdin and Handcuff Secrets. Text somewhat shaken. Previous owner's name in ink on front pastedown. Still, very good. From the John McLaughlin/Book Sail Collection.
