Contemporary notes in first part of book and on verso of last leaf, with astrological symbols and notes on the great London floods of "April 26,27, 1682". More Information:

Third edition in English of Dariot's work, enlarged by Nathaniel Spark and including the first appearance of his Proportionall Table and Tract Concerning Weather, each of which has a seperate title. The present edition is stated to be a revival ("redivivus") of Dariot's work; it is considerably augmented with the findings of subsequent medical astrology. The editor also added an ephemeris of the moon's positions and a treatise on astro-meterology for farmers, and reprinted "G.C.'s" treatise on astrological medicine from the second English edition of Dariot's treatise.

Dariot [1533-1594] physician of Beaune who was born at Pommard and became a Calvinist. His introductory astrological manual was first published in Latin at Lyons in 1557. C.'s translation of Dariot's Ad astrorum judicia facilis introductio.." [Don Cameron Allen, Star-Crosed Renaissance.]
