[xviii], 737, [738-772], [6, Index quaestionum], [1, colophon], [1, blank] pages. Text with red ink marginal ruling. Contemporary full brown calf, boards ruled in gilt, with gilt central decorative motif. Rebacked to style in twentieth-century brown calf, spine lettered in gilt, four raised bands. Binding worn, with some chipping and tears; text toned with some thumbsoiling and edgewear; title-page trimmed at bottom and soiled and worn; some ink notations in text. Library bookplate on front pastedown. Very good. Perhaps the most significant early study of witchcraft. Adams S1616.
