Signed on the top wrapper, "With the compls. of the author." With printed wrappers present, imprint is stapled within plain cardstock. Dinged corners and light toning.

    William J. Morton. The invention of Anaesthetic Inhalation; or Discovery of Anaesthesia. 48 pages, 5.75" x 9.25". New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1, 3, and 5 Bond Street; 1880. Signed on the top wrapper, "with the compliments of the author." The top wrapper is detached and has chipping at top and bottom. Toning throughout, with light soiling to wrappers.
