[22], 280 pages. General engraved title page, title and divisional title page with engraved vignettes by Abraham Bloeteling, 39 numbered engravings, including 9 folding engraved plates. Contemporary stiff paper labeled in ink to spine; a bit soiled. Cream-colored endpapers, edges untrimmed; front hinge detached, previous owner's ink inscription to front pastedown dated 1820. Minor foxing and soiling throughout, kk2 with approximate 4-inch; 102 mm tear in gutter, not affecting text or plate XXXIII, folding plate XXXIX with approximate 6.5 inch; 165 mm tear extending from left margin through the central figure but no apparent losses, other minor chips and tears. A very good copy of this early anatomy text.
