Presentation copy, inscribed by Wilson, "My Dear Friends / Dr + Myrtle Haley- / Whose devotion has / meant so much to / so many- / As Ever / Bill Wilson / 11/21/43." Octavo. [x], 400, [6, blank] pages. Publisher's full red cloth, front board and spine lettered in gilt. Rebacked, preserving most of the original spine. Gilt on spine faded. On the facing free endpaper, the recipients have written the following inscription: "Please read and return as / soon as finished to / Dr. F. V. Haley. / yo. 2179 5410 Wilshire Blvd. L.A. / Unfortunately these books seem to / be limited in number. They are / in great demand and needed." Text a bit toned, with some occasional soiling and creases. With a facsimile dust jacket. A very good copy of the famous "Big Red Book," with excellent inscriptions. Housed in later red cloth slipcase.
