[Alcoholics Anonymous]. A. A. 30. A Book About A. A.'s 30th Anniversary Year and International Convention. Toronto Ontario Canada July 2-4, 1965. New York: Alcoholics Anonymous World Service, 1965. First edition. Presentation copy by Bill and Lois Wilson, inscribed on the front free endpaper, mainly by Bill: "Dear Helen, Lois and I join in affectionate memory of your devoted friendship. Ever Devotedly, Lois [Lois signed this portion] & Bill". Dated "BH Sept-1965". Large octavo. 47 pages. Publisher's full bluish-gray cloth, front board stamped in gilt and lettered in black. Minor rubbing and sunning. A fine copy. A very scarce volume (OCLC only lists five copies) made even more scarce with the excellent inscription by Bill and Lois Wilson.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
