    Martin Leon's Exceedingly Rare Sermonario

    Martin Leon. Primera parte del Sermonario del tiem'p de todo el ano, duplicado, en lengua Mexicana. Mexico: la Vuida de Diego Lopez Davalos, 1614.

    Quarto (approximately 7.75 x 5.5 inches). [330] pages. This copy lacks eight preliminary pages, pages 1-9, and 328-330, and the final blank.

    Contemporary full limp vellum, yapp edges, title on spine in manuscript. Binding worn and creased, some soiling, foxing and general wear to text, a few marginal ink notes. Fair.

    Only one other copy of Sermonario has been at auction in the last thirty years (1986). Rare as per Sabin. Not mentioned in Brunet, Rich, or Stevens.
