[8], 341, [1, blank], [1, publisher's device], [1, blank] pages. Original red cloth with front cover and spine decoratively stamped in black and lettered in gilt. Spine repaired with cloth renewed at crown, spine leaning, extremity wear, rubbing and soiling on covers, spine and outer margins of covers darkened. Light scattered foxing, occasional soiling, paper fill on upper corner of page 83, abrasion on upper margin of page 341. Ink gift inscription "From Grandpa to Hal;" ownership signature of "H. Watts 1911" on rear pastedown. A very good copy. BAL 3367 ("The text varies slightly from the American edition").
