Octavo. xiii, 275, [1, blank], [4, advertisements, dated December 1, 1876] pages. Profusely illustrated. Publisher's cobalt blue cloth decorated in gilt and black, spine decorated in gilt and black. Recased, corners bumped, moderate edgewear, professional restorations to spine, corners, and edges. Cream endpapers; lacking front free endpaper, one rear original peach endpaper present, hinges somewhat crudely repaired, somewhat foxed and soiled, rear free endpaper creased, front free endpaper with dampstain and chipping to fore-edge. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; minor foxing and soiling, offsetting to half-title, uneven toning and moderate wear to text block edges. Very good.
