MacDonnell's first state of "Huck Decided" instead of "Huck Decides" under "Chapter VI" on page [9]. Octavo. 366 pages. Portrait frontispiece inserted with illustrated frontis and profuse intertextual illustrations by E. W. Kemble. Publisher's sheep boards, rebacked to style with red and black labels to spine. Rubbing, soiling, extremity wear, a bit of scuffing, minor loss to spine labels, red mark on rear cover, boards showing at corners, lower corners slightly bumped. Small black specks on fore-edge of textblock, toning and light chipping on edges of endpapers, hinges repaired with cloth adhesives, sporadic light to moderate soiling, small tear on upper edge of page 253.
