Vincenzo Maria Coronelli. America Settentrionale. Colle Nuove Scoperte sin all' Anno 1688. Venice: [circa 1690]. Two-sheet map of North America, featuring California as an island, including notes on recent explorations of the continent. Two individual leaves, printed on rectos only (26.5 x 19.625-19.75 inches; 675 x 499-504 mm.). Separated, uncolored. Soft crease running horizontally across middle of both sheets where once folded; short tears starting at right-hand side of both creases. Further creases resulting from bumping at lower right corner of western/title panel. Some very faint dark soiling, offsetting, likely from some rubbing while folded. Near fine. A bright and clean copy of this foundational North American map by a celebrated Venetian map and globe-maker.
