    Description

Thomas G. Bradford Map of Texas. 13" x 16", Boston: Weeks, Jordon & Co., 1838, engraved by G.W. Boynton, plate No. 42. A great early view of an independent Republic of Texas sandwiched between the United States and Mexico. Various land grants are named in East and Central Texas with Stephen F. Austin's colony shown in the center of the map due north of San Antonio de Bexar.

    Condition:
Light toning at edges. Areas of small tears have been repaired with archival tape on verso to reinforce material. One small piece of archival tape on lower front recto does not detract from the map's appearance.
