    More Information: Merritt B. Hyde, supervisor. Atlas of a Part of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. South Side--Ocean Shore. Complete in Two Volumes. Brooklyn; Manhattan: E. Belcher Hyde, 1915-16. Two volumes, folio. [4], [168]; [4], [124] unnumbered pages. First volume with forty-two, second volume with thirty-one two-page maps, some partially colored. Half calf with green and red cloth-covered boards; fronts lettered in gilt with decorative gilt ruling at edges of calf. All gatherings guarded. Hinges split with all boards reattached; fairly heavy chipping, scuffing to calf; second volume cloth worn through at edges; various kinds of soiling to boards, heavier on second volume; corners bumped. Normal yellowing to edges of text block. Repairs visible at inner hinges with front free endpapers guarded on replacement hinges; second volume bears previous ownership inscription. Occasional soft creases, edge wear, mild foxing, thumb soiling, spot staining throughout interiors of text block; at least one map is poor-quality facsimile, found in first volume. Fair with good interior.
