    Lot of Hand-Colored Maps of the Mediterranean Area Circa 1808. From Atlas Classica Being a Collection of Maps of the Countries Mentioned by the Ancient Authors, Both Sacred and Profane With Their Various Subdivisions at Different Periods, London: Robert Wilkinson, 1808. A handsome lot of four hand-colored maps including a ancient Gaul; Europe; ancient Asia; and a large folding map of the world as "peopled by the descendants of Noah" . Each plate measures 10.75 x 13.75 inches. The maps remain clean and with the exception of some trivial toning to the paper, are in very good condition. Once framed these plates would make enhance the décor of any office, home, school or church.
