    Herman Moll. A New and Correct Map of the World, Laid Down. [London]: Bowles, 1709 (circa 1730). Original large-format, double-hemisphere map of the world. Two sheets (22.5 x 38.5 inches; 572 x 978 mm. (sight)). Matted and framed for an overall size of 30 x 46 inches. Extensive hand-coloring (possibly later, especially in the cartouche and surrounding scene); Ptolemaic and Copernican solar system diagrams, map of the north pole, appearance of the sun and moon, as well as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Fold lines firmly creased with some wear; light marginal soiling. Appears very good, not inspected out of frame.
