    Description

    H. F. Walling. Atlas of the State of Michigan. Detroit: [1873]. First edition.

More Information: [Michigan]. H. F. Walling. Atlas of the State of Michigan. Detroit: R. M. & S. T. Tackabury, [1873]. First edition. Large folio. 162, [48, business cards] pages, numerous full-page and double-page color maps, double-page maps inserted on stubs, each map paginated. Publisher's half dark green goatskin over brown pebbled-calf covered boards, spine ruled in gilt, boards ruled and tooled in blind, front board lettered in gilt, rear board lettered in blind. Covers scuffed and somewhat soiled with a few white blemishes; joints and edges worn with some chipping and flaking, particularly at the spine ends. Over-opened, and just about broken, between the copyright page and contents, otherwise seemingly sound; page margins tanned with some corners creased; dampstain to the lower portion of the fore-edge margin on the preliminary leaves. Still, about very good.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
