    Claude Joseph Sauthier. A Map of the Province of New-York. Reduc'd from the large Drawing of that Province, compiled from Actual Surveys by Order of His Excellency William Tryon Esqr. London: William Faden, August 1776. Revolutionary War map of New York and New Jersey. Single sheet, outlined in color (29.5 x 24 inches; 751 x 611 mm.). Three horizontal and one vertical crease, with tears starting at some fold ends, particularly at bottom of vertical crease. Small holes worn at intersection of creases. Some chipping at edges, including upper right corner. Four stab-holes. Tears to upper edge mended from verso. Toned evenly on recto, unevenly on verso. Some foxing, spot soiling. Good. Matted and backed. Based on surveys by Sauthier and Bernard Ratzer. Published shortly after the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
