Five volumes in six, folio. Various paginations. Five color frontispieces and almost 200 additional leaves of plates, some double-sided, some folded, of map reproductions. One-quarter green goat with greenish-beige cloth-covered boards; spines stamped in gilt. Edges rough-trimmed. Title-page printed in red and black, with decorative type; red initials. Very light shelf wear at extremities. Edges of text block faintly toned. Regular slight age yellowing to pages. Some folding plates browned at creases; very subtle wear. Near fine. One thousand copies of each volume produced on "natural wove Curtis rag."
