[Italy]. Group of Four Maps of Parts of Italy. [Amsterdam and elsewhere: various dates]. Original Maps.

    More Information:

Henricus Hondius. Dominium Venetum In Italia. Amsterdam: [circa 1650?]. Original map, unknown variant without a cartouche in the Gulf of Venice. Two pages, hand-colored (15.75 x 20.5 inches (sight)). Matted and framed for an overall size of 25 x 29.5. Map toned and lightly soiled; touch of wear to edges and folds. Appears very good, not inspected out of frame. Together with Magini's Elba Isola olim Ilua (circa 1620), uncolored, and two small woodcut maps: Regni Neapolitani Verissima Secundum and Typus Regni Neapolitani, both after Ortelius. All matted and framed, the Ortelius maps colored. Ortelius maps appear to be in-text illustrations, unsure if the full leaf is intact.
