    H. G. Wells Dismisses an Offer for Rights to
    The Outline of History

    H. G. Wells Autograph Note Signed. One page on Wells' stationery note card, 3.5 x 4.5 inches, Buckingham Gate, [n.d. - pencil note, likely in another hand, indicating Nov. 28, 1919]. Wells writes: "Dear Mr. [illegible]. £500! The Outline of History! Have you no sense of scale. Maybe if the people offered [?] £5000 we might begin to consider whether it can be [illegible] with it Yours Sincerely H. G. Wells". Card a bit toned, some thumbsoiling, office ink reception stamp on verso. Good.
From the Larry McMurtry Collection of H. G. Wells.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
