    H. G. Wells. Autograph Letter Signed. Whitehall Court, 1.4.27. To Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, addressed "My dear Doyle".

    More Information:

One octavo page on one leaf of personal stationery. Approximately 9 x 7 inches. Letter toned, vertical and horizontal creases. Still, very good.

"My Dear Doyle, I shall read what Phineas has to say with interest & curiosity. I'm one of the unconverted but I am always. Yours with the friendliest regards H. G.[flourish]".

This letter concerns Doyle's obsession with spiritualism, which was born after the death of his son, Kingsley in 1918. Phineas was Doyle's personal "spirit guide" and a former resident of the ancient city of Ur in Mesopotamia, and Doyle had been channeling him since 1923.

From the John McLaughlin/Book Sail Collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
