An Original Hand-Corrected Typescript by Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie. Original Typescript of The Edge, with the Author's Hand Corrections. London: [n.d., ca. 1926]. Complete in twenty-five leaves plus title leaf. Leaves approximately 10.25 x 8 inches. Rectos only. Numbered by hand at the bottom of the pages (except for title leaf). Title leaf with some creased tears and creased corners. Leaves a bit toned, with some occasional discoloring and edgewear (not affecting text. Ribbon-bound within a card folder of "Hughes Massie & Co" with their label on the front (some rubbing and mild discoloration to folder, with a short tear along the spine). Still, a fine manuscript. Nearly every page has neat ink notes or corrections in Christie's hand. It is rare to find complete Christie manuscripts. This story was originally published in Pearson's Magazine in 1927, and did not appear in book form until 1997, when it appeared in When the Light Lasts and Other Stories (U. S. title: The Harlequin Tea Set and Other Stories).
