Uniformly bound by Zaehnsdorf in near contemporary full red levant morocco, boards triple-ruled in gilt, spines tooled, ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, all edges gilt, red silk endleaves. Original wrappers bound-in (wrappers mounted). Front board of Mrs. Perkins's Ball detached, joints with some wear or cracking, some wear to spines, spines toned. A good set. Housed in custom slipcase. From the library of the president of the Mutual Life Insurance Company, Frederick S. Winston with his bookplate in each volume and a check signed by his wife, Ada is laid-in. From the Almington Collection.
