First editions of all 7 parts, first printings of parts I, VI and VII (the only parts with printing points). Slip about copyright infringement is inserted in part II (at page 103). Seven octavo volumes. Frontispieces. Bound in nineteenth-century half brown levant morocco over marbled boards, spines tooled and lettered in gilt, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt. Spines sunned, some wear to bindings, text occasionally toned, foxed, or thumbsoiled. Generally, a fine set, bound without wrappers. From the collection of Donald Kaufmann.
