    Harriet Beecher Stowe (June 14, 1811 - July 1, 1896) was an American author and abolitionist. The fame that followed her publication of Uncle Tom's Cabin enabled her to travel to Europe, which this book chronicles. First one volume edition. Ads added November 1854.
