    Richard F. Burton. The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night. Privately Printed, [circa 1910]. Mecca Edition, limited. Seventeen octavo volumes.

    Seventeen octavo volumes. Frontispieces and numerous plates. Publisher's beige cloth, paper labels on spines, top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed. Bindings somewhat toned, rubbed, worn on extremities, and soiled, papers affected with a few chips. Some volumes with textblocks a bit shaken. Minor chipping on edges, light toning on page edges, pencil ownership signatures on front free endpapers, a few places over-opened. Volume 3 has front hinge broken. Volumes 16 and 17 has gutter margin breaking, with Volume 17 having a closed 0.75 inch tear on outer margin of p. 279/280. A very good set.
