    Octavo. 411, [1, blank] pages. Frontispiece, numerous intertextual illustrations. Original green cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt and black. Boards rubbed and scuffed, board edges moderately worn with abrasions and fraying to cloth especially to spine ends and corners, spine leaning, corners bumped. Text block edges lightly toned and faintly foxed, minor foxing on endpapers, gutter hinge starting at verso of front free endpaper and front flyleaf, gift inscription on front flyleaf, occasional thumbprints on outer margins, a few places over-opened, small wormholes in rear endpapers in lower corners. A good copy with bright, clean text.
