First edition. Octavo. 30 pages. Grey paper boards with gilt title to front cover, upper edge gilt, deckled edges, and reading ribbon. Bookplate of Gerald F. Emanuel" on front pastedown. Boards light soiled and scuffed, corners bumped, tear along spine paper, small chips at head of spine, front joint starting, rear joint cracked; indentations and light stains from paper clip use on the upper edge of the front free endpaper and following blank with small pencil bookseller notes; ink stain in outer margin of page 20, rear free endpaper discolored. Book in a removable protective plastic sleeve, which secures the joints and the tear along the spine paper very nicely. Overall, a lovely inscribed copy of Douglas' sonnets.
