    Large paper edition. Four octavo volumes. 480; 448; 426; 434 pages. Engraved frontispiece with engraved plates and vignettes. Marbled paper plate at Volume I, pages 267-268.

    Contemporary full tree calf with gilt titles and decorations, and morocco spine labels. All edges gilt, marbled endpapers. Some modest scuffing. Pages mildly toned. With bookplate of Philip Sassoon in each volume. Given by Sassoon as the first books for the new Port Lympne Library in 1921 and inscribed as such. No other library markings. Small label affixed to front board of each with "Port Lympne". A near fine set.
