First edition front matter, fifth state of the title-page with "Angel" in roman type, married to a first edition text block, matching the collation provided by the Bridwell on their online catalog listing for the same issue. Small quarto (7 x 5.125 inches; 177 x 130 mm.). A4, a4; A-Z4, Aa-Tt4, Vv2. [16]; [17-356] pages. Ruled borders to title and text, start of each book with initial and decorative woodcut head-piece. Nineteenth-century diced calf, boards double-ruled in gilt; spine in five compartments, decorated in gilt. Front matter edges gilt (and trimmed slightly shorter), text leaves edges marbled; brown endpapers, flyleaves. Boards detached, spine heavily worn. Title-page foxed; occasional browning to text, predominately relegated to margins, or just within boarders, but considerable on last few leaves. Internally very good. Grolier. Wither to Prior, 603.
