Bound by Morrell in half calf over cloth covered boards, five raised spine bands with gilt lettered leather title labels and gilt decorations in compartments, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Binder's ink stamp on verso of front free endpaper. Binding rubbed and scuffed, corners and spine ends bumped. Bookseller's small pencil marks on verso of front free endpaper, holograph ink gift inscription dated 1859 on half-title, title page and facing page over-opened, some foxing, edge wear with few small tears and corner bends, occasional soiling. Very good.
