    More Information:

Le Noble (1643-1711) Procureur general au Parlement Metz, prolific author; he was falsely accused and put in prison, there he became the lover of Gabrielle Pereau "la belle Epiciere". He escaped but was recaptured and banished. He was an indefatigable author.

Gay/Lemonnyer

This popular collection was first published in 1695 in Paris and went through a number of editions attesting to its popularity.        STCN 172412. Gay/Lemonnyer II,366. Rose 1885 (1718 ed.) Bibl. Arcana 434 [1718 ed.)

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
