    Description

Edgar Allan Poe. The Works of Edgar Allan Poe. Newly Collected and Edited, with a Memoir, Critical Introductions, and Notes, by Edmund Clarence Stedman and George Edward Woodberry. Chicago: Stone & Kimball, 1894-1895. First editions. Ten volumes. Octavo. Various paginations. Frontispieces in each volume; plates scattered occasionally throughout. Publisher's green cloth, spines stamped in gilt; top edges of text blocks trimmed and gilt. Backstrips very faintly darkened; very minor shelf wear at extremities; heads of spines a bit pulled, resulting in tiny splits starting at joint ends; boards lightly rubbed and soiled; corners a bit tapped. Text blocks dulled; untrimmed edges starting to flake. Very good overall.
