    Charles Dickens. Our Mutual Friend. London: Chapman and Hall, 1864-1865. First edition in the original monthly parts. Nearly complete, and with the rare "Foreign Bank Notes" slip at rear. Twenty octavo parts in nineteen. 320, [12]; 310, [8] pages. Illustrated with forty engraved plates by Marcus Stone. Publisher's original blue-green printed wrappers, with Hatton and Cleaver's fourth variation of the inner ad of the front wrappers. Wrappers generally worn, with several chipped and creased, some with glue reinforcement on spines that have perished, remaining spines are chipped and worn, several parts have labels on the front wrapper. Some occasional foxing to plates. Still, a good, nearly complete copy with the rare "Foreign Bank Notes" slip in part XIX-XX. Chemised in two slipcases.

    XIV: Lacks "Mutual Friend" four-page ad.

    XVII: Lacking rear wrapper.
    XVIII: Complete with extra ads not called for: "Chapman and Hall" eight-page ad, duplicate "Mappin, Webb" two-page ad.
    XIX-XX: Complete with rare "Foreign Bank Notes" slip at rear.
