Without half-title, as issued. With forty plates (including frontispiece and vignette title-page) and errata slip inserted. Bound with wrappers (in front and rear) and thirteen leaves of ads and one slip. Early twentieth-century half blue morocco over marbled boards, spine paneled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, marbled endleaves, top edge gilt. Some rubbing to binding, some toning, foxing in text, plates somewhat more heavily foxed, some wear to wrappers. Some prelims with chips and tears (some tears repaired). Still, a good copy. Hatton and Cleaver, pp. 303-330.
