[London: Richard Bentley, 1837.] Later printing, issued separately. Small octavo. 8 pages; in-text engraving by "Phiz" on recto of first leaf. Disbound, stab-sewn. Housed in phase pox mounted in recent one-quarter calf with marbled paper-covered boards, red leather spine label stamped in gilt. Minor binding wear at extremities of case. Leaflet faintly browned at gutter on recto of first leaf. Fold very slightly worn. Bottom corner has small rumple. Minimal foxing to first and last leaf. Near fine. Includes note "With the Compliments of Simon Nowell-Smith and his regret that it is not the earliest printing." Includes Dickens's "speech" on pages 1-4, list of contributors to Bentley's Miscellany on 4, contents of numbers I-III on pages 5-6, and "A few opinions of the press" on pages 6-8. Gimbel E33.
