Wood-engraved frontispiece and vignette title, and eleven wood-engraved text illustrations. [And:] The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain. London: Bradbury & Evans, 1848. First edition. [8], 188 pages. Wood-engraved frontispiece and vignette title on toned grounds, and fifteen woodcut text illustrations. Together five small octavo volumes, in red calf ruled in gilt with spine in six sections; two spine labels of green morocco stamped in gilt; all edges gilt; marbled endpapers; with original cloth laid in at rear free endpaper of each volume. Boards a touch edgeworn and rubbed; ownership signatures in first two volumes. Housed together in red cloth case. Eckel, pp. 110-125. From a Private Collection in St. Charles, IL.
