xvi, 624 pages. Half green calf over marbled paper covered boards with gilt rules, four raised spine bands with gilt decoration and title, marbled edges and endpapers. Boards rubbed and scuffed, front joint cracking; three holograph ink owners' names and addresses on front fly-leaf (upper right corner missing), bookseller's small pencil notes on verso of front free endpaper and verso of frontispiece, original stab holes visible in inner margins, foxing and browning (heavier on plates than on text pages), dampstains, some image offset on pages facing plates and text offset on plates from facing pages, minor soiling, few creases and corner bends; otherwise in very good condition.
