All plate counts include frontispieces or engraved title-pages, where called-for. Uniformly bound by Zaehnsdorf in near contemporary red levant morocco, boards triple-ruled in gilt, spines tooled, ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins; all edges gilt; red silk endleaves; original wrappers bound-in (wrappers mounted, with some repairs). Front board of Mrs. Perkins's Ball detached; joints with some wear or cracking; some wear to spines; spines toned. Very good; housed together in a custom slipcase. From the library of the president of the Mutual Life Insurance Company, Frederick S. Winston with his bookplate in each volume and a check signed by his wife, Ada is laid-in.
