Second edition. Folio in twos. liv, 42 pages. Frontispiece, vignette title-page, and eleven additional inserted engravings. Publisher's original full brown cloth; stamped in blind on front and rear; spine stamped in gilt. Binding restored, rebacked with original backstrip laid down; fairly extensive scuffing and scratching, edge wear to boards; corners worn, bumped. Regular age toning to edges of text block, extending into margins of pages. Repairs visible at inner hinges. Small chips to edges of free endpapers. Occasional faint marginal thumbsoiling, foxing, most extensive at frontispiece and vignette title-page; some offsetting onto tissue guards opposite plates. Very good. Vignette title dated 1808, from first edition. From the Illustrated Book Collection of David Salinas.
