A sentimental look at the lives of African-American slaves as well as Southern whites, rich and poor. Publisher's cloth binding with gilt titles. Spine slightly leaning. Corners and spine ends bumped and showing. Some minor rubbing and edgewear to extremities. Front and rear hinges cracked. Owner's pencil inscription. Some foxing scattered throughout. Good.
